How does an engine with turbo
61The turbochargers
The turbochargers used to provide more power to the engine without increasing its size, through an improved volumetric efficiency the system can put more air into the cylinders.
The turbo is nothing
more than an air compressor which compresses the mixture of air and
fuel into the chambers of explosion and thus a recovery of 100% for the
whole internal space of the chamber and thereby generating a force of
thrust greater than in aspirated engines.
The compressor
consists of two rotors that work in chambers designed in the form of
snails, interconnected by a shaft, they work together with each other.
The turbocharger outlet rotors rotate at the same speed, and he is basically divided into two parts, the hot and the cold.
The hot part of the rotor is connected to the exhaust outlet, and the
other, called the compressor rotor or the cold part is part of the
admission of air.
So instead of counting only the atmospheric pressure, an engine
equipped with a turbo system takes advantage of the air pressure inside
the cylinders to generate more power and more torque.
The difference in performance of a turbo engine of a car to another,
due to several factors, such as the weight x power of the car, link
exchange and transmission, the engine design, which would be the most
important among some other less importance and that generate small
difference in final power.

How can a turbo car without it spends more fuel, there is the possibility of using an electric turbine connected directly to the battery of our car.
